Fico Gutierrez continues his victory over the voters. He has stepped up his campaign in Boyaca and also paid a visit to the Virgin of Chiquinquira

The presidential candidate Federico Gutierrez is clear that votes are obtained on the street. There are only 32 days to the first round of the presidential race and he's making a promise to challenge Gustavo Petro, who is his primary rival, to win the House of Narino vote in the second round.

Formerly, the mayor of Medellin and now a candidate for center-right was in Tunja, where he spoke with academics, businesspeople, agricultural producers, peasants and other people.

The main Fico's meeting took place in the Tunja Convention Center. There Fico met with many citizens who backed him at the polls on May 29, 2009.

Federico shared his Twitter message that included ruana as well as hundreds more colombians supporting the candidate for the Team for Colombia. Federico thanked Tunja residents and stated that "we're going to be winners for all of us, we go for president to transform and unify Colombia."  http://www.elnuevosiglo.com.co/articulos/12-09-2021-federico-gutierrez-entrego-1400000-firmas-para-avalar-su-candidatura-la  recorded a swarm of supporters for him and didn't stop.

"Happy in Boyaca!" He said, "Happy in Boysaca!"

The second-placed candidate on the ballot, the"pointer," made it to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira. This is a strategic site where a large number of faithful and followers travel from different parts of the country every weekend. In  https://www.elcolombiano.com/colombia/dos-candidatos-antioquenos-lograron-certificar-sus-firmas-para-la-presidencia-BF16313200  of all the attention of his followers as well as the faithful waiting for the early morning Eucharist the leader of centre-right kneeled before the Virgin and laid his hands on the Mary's breast.

"I asked Virgin for wisdom. He explained that he asked for his help in my family, as well as for all families living in Colombia.

In the same location, the presidential candidate recorded the visit in video. When he entered the area the presidential candidate met a lot of people who were able to hug the president. He also wore the representative outfit of the Colombian municipality.

Gutierrez arrived to the church in the form of the Boyacan ruana (traditional Boyacan ruana) and the medal from the Virgin of Chiquinquira (a symbol of faith which he carried during his political campaign). It is worth noting that three weeks ago the Antioquian traveled to Jericho, Antioquia, and attended the birthplace of Mother Laura, the only Colombian saint who was recently canonized by Pope Francis.

The presidential candidate went to Chiquinquira to greet the citizens and announce his arrival at the presidential palace. The leader of the paisa also addressed additional important issues like water security, road maintenance and construction (especially Ruta de los Comuneros section and Ubate-Chiquinquira sections), and tourism in order to create employment and sustainable development.

Fico Gutierrez  spoke about his work. He stated that Tunja is the second city that has the highest rate of unemployment in the country, so in his government plan the goal is to create "about 2 000 jobs through the establishment of at least 300 new companies for Boyaca".

To accomplish this, the he stated that the Strategic Public Transport System structure must be given priority. In addition, he said that he would continue to create roads and bicycle routes.

The most recent post on his Twitter read: "Peasants, farmers of Boyaca We are working to create more income and opportunities for you and to re-honor our fields." At present, Gutierrez will continue to reach out to the Colombian people, sharing his plans for the country and hoping to be noticed in the next election on Sunday on May 29.
